Lamb Cavey is made from soft off-white bobbly faux lambsfleece with a handcutfelt face, pink nose and grey ears. He is limited to 40 numbered pieces, comes with a glitter purple enamel Cavey badge and a Cavey Cube and is £16. Toycon UK Cavey Release and More!

Introducing the latest Cavey breed, Toyconcaveysaurus! This item is handcrafted to order in the A Little Stranger studio, and takes about 2 weeks to ship.

Task One's Pillaging Pop Culture Series!

Task One and Tenacious Toys have teamed up for an awesome release called Pillaging Pop Culture!

The blind-boxed custom hand painted figures will be $40.00 a piece or $100.00 for all 3 designs released in each wave. Purchasing 3 bind boxes in each wave guarantees that you will get one of each of the 3 figures in that wave. This puts each figure, if the full wave of 3 pieces is purchased, at a mere $33.33. Purchasing one figure means you will get a blind boxed figure. Tenacious Toys will also make available a limited number of full sets- the whole series of 18 characters plus the chase figure- at $600.00, which is a lot less than some consumers spend hunting down a full set of a production series. There will be a "free" chase figure (not part of the 18pc set) that will be rewarded to 2 lucky orders each Wave and automatically to anyone who purchases the full set. While the exact run size is not revealed, the series is limited.

The Chase Figure!

A note from Task One: By stretching the release out over a 12 week period it prolongs the fun, interest and awareness of this project both for the collector and the artists. As a collector, it increases your chances of receiving pieces you want and gives you time between paychecks to save up for the next release. As an artist, the space in between gives us time to fulfill orders and keeps the project in the blogs and media for a while, instead of having a nice build up to a release date, after which the project is forgotten. Task One would like to encourage other artists or people putting together a blind box series to try this method out, and feel free to adapt and add on your own ideas to the process. If you do please contact him and let him know how it turns out.

Hey Cavey March Releases are here! Plus Vinyl Cavey, the toy everyone is wanting!

This release is different this month, Coney is back and taking over! This Coney is called March Hare Coney. An edition of 30, March Hare Coney is a chocolately, curly bundle of fluff, and joining him is Mad hatter Cavey. Mad Hatter Cavey is limited to an edition of just 5! Each with odd sized eyes, and a little handmade hat, playing card and floral bow tie. March Hare Coney is made from chocolate brown curly faux fur with soft felt inner ears. Tenacious Toys and Kyle Kirwan Release!

 Tenacious Toys announces the third release in their weekly calendar of micro-run art toy releases. This week, for March 3rd, the Super Series Sundays release is "Yolo Mesh" by Kyle Kirwan. Yolo Mesh is the first mate on the Airship Kellen. He's cranky, strict, sarcastic, and not much fun. But he gets it done, and that's what you want in an airshipman. He's a Nebin from the Island of Bentree in the Broken Ocean, but grew up in Canarthe and has been sailing since he could stand on two feet. Yolo Mesh is a one-piece resin figure sculpted, cast and painted by Kyle Kirwan. Standing 5.5 inches tall and produced in a run of 9 pieces, Tenacious Toys has 5 to sell at $50 each. CYH: When did you start your selling your handmade hoodies and jewelry?

Beulah: I've only just started selling my pieces in 2013, although I've been sewing for 15 years.

CYH: Where do you get your inspiration?

Beulah: I love bright neon colours, clashing patterns and comfy fits, so I guess being a child of the 80’s has inspired me a lot! Also, much of the inspiration for the hoodies came from Female Hip Hop collective – Lyrically Challenged from London.

CYH: Do you take requests? 

Beulah: Yes! If you like the style but want to mix and match the fabrics or cut, just drop me a line! 

 CYH: What is the craziest fabric you used for a hoodie?

Beulah: So far I'm loving the pink leopard print but I have my eye on some really crazy prints…. Watch her store space for updates!! 

 CYH: What types of fabric do you like to use the most? 

Beulah: Cotton Jersey, I like the way it hangs and it feels great! The best thing about cotton is its warm in the winter but cool in the summer! 

 CYH: How long does it take for you to finish a hoodie? 

Beulah: For a basic hoodie, approx 4-6 hours but if I stencil / bling the hoodie it can take the best part of a day.

Recently, I have been browsing Etsy.com too much. I may not be able to buy or even afford the things I have found but I will still like to share what I have found, plus help the store with sales in the process!

CYH: How long have you been making toys/designs for toys?

William: I have been making toys for 8 years now.

CYH: What got you started? What is your inspiration?

William: The thing that got me started into toys was my imagination. I started drawing when I was 2 and always made up my own stories. In 2000, I started making products out of the drawings and the rest is history! 

CYH: Who is your favorite artist/toy right now? 

William: My favorite toys are from fluffyhouse.com 

CYH: What are your future plans for your shop?
William: A Valentine's Edition is being released. I am also making multiple variations of the current basic set.
